Dr. Jennifer Gibson has dedicated her career to enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities through direct services, research, training and writing. She draws from her personal experiences of living with disability with humor to facilitate disability competence training among educators and mental health professionals. She believes in the power of education

Among her passions is to provide educational transitional services to students with disabilities and their families.  For nearly 20 years, Dr. Gibson has provided services to college students with disabilities. She has worked at the University of California, California State University, and private universities and knows what these institutions of postsecondary education have to offer students with disabilities. In recent years, she has become increasingly active in preparing high school students for college through transitional services. She received her PhD in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Community and Multicultural Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology and has authored various publications related to disability and clinical competency.
